The other day, my daughter was watching the anime "Chi - About the Movement of the Earth" on TV, and I was so drawn in that I ended up watching it with her. The gist of it is that "during an era when the church controlled people's minds and even science, one of the most important teachings of the church was the geocentric theory, which states that the earth is the center of the universe and the planets move around it. The geocentric theory was considered the truth of the world, and anyone who went against this teaching was labeled a heretic and severely persecuted."

What interested me about the program was the way of life of a man who pursued the truth despite being labeled a "heretic" and oppressed, but even more so, I was moved by the beauty of the laws of rotation and revolution in the physical laws of nature. How ugly the "geocentric" theory is, which humans have twisted and created. I was moved by the fact that humans live within such beautiful laws of the universe.

By the way, the Earth's orbital speed is about 100,000 km/hour, and its rotation speed at the equator is about 1,700 km/hour. Even though we are moving at such incredible speeds, objects on Earth are not blown away, but we are carried along. It is strange, but this is apparently one of the reasons for the geocentric theory. Speaking of something moving, I went to the great outdoors at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains to visit my father's grave in the fragrant air of fresh greenery in May. In the daytime sunlight, the surrounding forests and the distant Southern Alps mountain range were strongly noticeable, but as the sun set, they sank into the pitch black darkness and became a background, revealing a sky full of stars. It truly felt like being one with the universe.

According to quantum physics, the cutting edge of modern science, everything, from the human body to solid objects like steel, glass, and concrete, exists as both particles and waves when traced back to the smallest unit of matter. The light of the stars shining down from above and the sound of the wind blowing through the forest, are all waves with frequencies, wave energy. All light and all sound are waves. Our minds, bodies, and all energy and all matter resonate with each other as wave energy, which is how the universe is. Am I the only one who feels a sense of relief when I stand under a starry sky, aware that I am living in the universe?

On a different note, I once created a spaceship simulator when I was in charge of a science museum. It allowed children to pilot a spaceship and explore space, and one of the contents incorporated swing-by navigation *1.

In the work I do, I often use the laws of astrophysics, especially in the science museum exhibits. However, most of the time, I only use a part of the law in the exhibits. Our job is to create spaces, but we can't compete with the spaces created by the universe. I want to get as close as possible to the beauty created by the universe.
